Presidential Election

My initial purpose for this blog was to journal and share the adventures of book publishing, etc.

Many of my friends and clients have asked me whom I believe will win the upcoming election.

For many months, I have predicted that President George Bush will be re-elected. Not the mirginal win of the past election, but I intuit, a landslide of votes in many states.

We shall see.

VENUS, The Goddess of Love

Finally, after waiting nearly six years. Six years of daydreaming about unique names. Six years of reaching a level of maturity to handle my baby. My baby standard poodle. Labor Day weekend, I drove to Medina, Ohio - Dassin Farms to pick up my 8-week old white, standard poodle puppy. Her name is Venus, the goddess of love. Venus for short. She's a real cutie and I predict Venus will be a real stunner in about six months.

Today, Venus is about 9 1/2 weeks old. This Thursday she'll begin puppy obedience classes. I plan to continue classes through agility - my standard poodle will be the Olympic champ in the sporting competition one day. Here's her picture...

BIRTH

The summer is almost a blur and I'm now finding a few moments to bring you up to date.

I have one agent remaining to hear about my memoir, "VICTORIA SPEAKING..." - I have enjoyed a few creative ah-ha's and have new ideas about restructuring my story. (more on that later)

Many of you know that Nicole Kidman is slated to play Victoria Woodhull in a new feature film produced by George Clooney. You also may recall that I have envisoned or intuited that Kidman would be perfect for a film version of my book, "the tale of two victoria's" (sub title of "Victoria Speaking..")

Well, it seems that my intuition has been partially accurate. My memoir has a strong thread leading to reincarnation and a passionate love story. This past weekend I read that Nicole Kidman is starring in the new film BIRTH. It's a film about reincarnation - she plays the widow and believes her 10 year old son is her reincarnated husband.

Just as Anna (Nicole Kidman) has shaken off what she thought were the final remnants of her old life -- she has even found love with a new man, Joseph (Danny Huston), whom she plans on marrying -- David (Cameron Bright), a ten-year-old boy, comes into her life insisting that he is the reincarnation of her late husband. Though she initially brushes off the boy's claims as the result of a crush on her, his grave demeanor and uncanny knowledge of her life leads Anna through a self-reevaluation.

The film is scheduled to be released November 5th. The concept is intriguing, however, I am having a hard time believing the alleged racey bathtub scene with Nicole Kidman and a 10 year old boy!
